About us - Housing Association

Who we are

Established in 1997 we’re the UK’s leading provider of help and support for disabled people who want to buy their own home. In the intervening years we’ve helped hundreds of people turn hopes into homes, changing many lives along the way. From people with mild learning disabilities through to those with complex physical and mental health needs (requiring 24/7 care) we’ve shown that home ownership is not only a viable option…it’s often the best. Along the way we’ve formed strong working relationships with leading Housing Associations, Care Providers and Local Authorities and developed a unique shared ownership model that offers the buyer unrivalled protection and security.

What we can do for you

If you’re a Housing Association we’ll help you find buyers with 100% mortgages from an untapped market for your New Build HomeBuy properties, whilst also meeting some of the criteria within your organisation’s equality scheme. Of course getting the right type and size of property in the perfect location can be really tricky, if not impossible. That’s why we give people the opportunity to buy from the open market with you too, through a scheme known as Home Ownership for People with Long term Disabilities…or H.O.L.D for short. We’ll help you make the most of this scheme, maximising the number of people that you can help whilst supporting the growth and development of your business.

'As well as helping people with a disability buy a home of their own the MySafeHome team is helping us develop our business too, enabling us to make the most of the tremendous opportunities being created by giving individuals a real choice in terms of their accommodation and care’.

- Angela Nevin, Supported Housing Business Development Manager, Newlon.

‘MySafeHome is revolutionising the housing options open to people with a disability and we’re proud to be working in partnership with them. Together we’ve already helped nine individuals turn their hopes into homes, in every instance the support provided by the MySafeHome team was second to none’.

- Joanne Bridges, Home Ownership for people with Long term Disabilities (HOLD) Coordinator, InTouch
