As the Hyde Group now have 3 people in shared ownership for people with learning disabilities properties and have seen how successful it can be I am a big fan of the scheme. During the process of receiving referrals for the scheme right through to completion on the property purchase I have found it very reassuring to have the support of an experienced mortgage processor such as David Abbey. Without this mortgage service it would be almost impossible to secure a mortgage for people living on welfare benefits.

I would like to see this scheme develop further such as people with mental health issues and or physical disabilities. I would recommend Mysafehome mortgage services to any housing association thinking about branching out into shared ownership for people with learning disabilities.
